Abstract

Zmievskaia and Piarnpuu (1978) have proposed a numerical method of statistical modeling of collisions for solving problems of multicomponent gas mixture kinetics. In the present paper, this method is extended to mixtures in which energy exchange occurs between the translational and internal degrees of freedom of the particles. The method is developed on the basis of a model of a monatomic gas with elastic collisions, which is asymptotically equivalent to the Boltzmann kinetic equation.
