LIGHT INTERFEROMETRIC DEVICE FOR ASTROMETRY (LIDA)

Light Interferometric Device for Astrometry (LIDA) is designed for testing of new technology in space conditions and a number of scientific tasks.. This low-mass space probe is adjusted to conversional missile launch. It will be launched to the sun-synchronized orbit that is very suitable for precision measurements of instant positions of space probes as well as of ground-based objects. Besides that the LIDA probe may be used for experiments for laser communication purposes.

LIDA will be launched being pact under head fairing, and when launched, it will be unfolded into full-dimension device with 200-cm baseline.
